Life’s most persistent and urgent question is,
”What are you doing for others?”

Our Mission

MLK Saratoga builds civil and human rights awareness by promoting inclusivity, diversity, and social justice through our community events and offerings, utilizing Performance and the Arts as our collective launching point.

Our HiSTORY

Originally known as the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Project of Saratoga Springs, our community-based organization has held an annual celebration in honor of our nation's most remarkable civil rights leader for over 20 years!  In 2015, we began to deepen and expand our programming, with events spanning the entire weekend leading up to the national holiday.  As we envision our next evolutionary steps, MLK Saratoga will be offering event gatherings quarterly, as well as seeking opportunities to co-sponsor and highlight the efforts of other community partners. Ubuntu!

“Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”
— Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
