Our Now little pecks (2).JPG

“Our Now” is a 40-minute staged reading of a play about race, class and gender, created with local female community activists after the August 2017 events in Charlottesville. This documentary theater performance was originally developed at the request of local women searching for a place to connect with each other and a way to safely share their own thoughts, feelings, and experiences as a citizen living in these politically contentious times. A group discussion at Creative Action Unlimited in September 2017 led to the documentary theater process that created “Our Now,” which has performed throughout Troy for the past two years.

Followed by a talkback with the cast.
